Celerate

Given I am writing this on a Friday ,the more obvious reason to celebrate is the fact that the weekend is coming up. I have had a firefighting week at work, and I am definitely looking forward to the weekend. I enjoy work..YES !! You heard it right . I ENJOY WORKING ! Not just at office but at home , I like to feel the need to be doing something .I have heard plenty of my friends saying “You are crazy” and “You don’t know how to relax” or “ You are Monica Geller “ .. Well,I have alleviated my obsession for orderliness somewhat lately , though my family would still find that questionable. My efforts have been earnest to overcome my feeling to take off on an orbit when I have the urge to take over something . I am developing the skill slowly.
As I learnt to go through this phase,I realized I have had more time to celebrate. Celebrate daily moments of peace. Enjoy my goofy jokes with my kids. Play with my dogs and miss my Patches every time I use his favorite thing or open his favorite can of food. It more often takes a minute to fall in love but a lifetime to forget some people who have touched your life.
While we are there, I think we should celebrate life’s simplest moments. Your child’s drawing from school, making 10,000 steps on your pedometer, getting a new shirt, getting a good discount in a store, making it back home on time in the traffic. The more we celebrate the more we count our blessings. We have a reason to be excited and feel positive about the smallest mundane things happening to us everyday. We don’t need a 5 digit raise or a new job or a new car to be the only valid reason to celebrate.
Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day. Celebrate the small pleasures and make them the big treasures. Just celebrate living for there is no bigger joy!
